Piedmont Advances To GSAC Volleyball Championship
Third-seeded Piedmont College earned a right to play for the league's first-ever automatic qualification to the NCAA Divison-III National Championship Tournament with a victory over third-seeded Huntingdon College at the 2006 Great South Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship at Piedmont College in Demorest, GA.
The Lady Lions defeated the Lady Hawks in a five-game thriller by the score of 30-28, 24-30, 30-27, 27-30 and 15-8 and will face top-seeded Maryville College tomorrow at 1:00.
PC improves to 23-11 overall on the season while HC's season ends with a 13-15 overall record.
