Terry Martin, Head Coach

Terry Martin is entering his ninth season as the head coach of the Piedmont College softball program. Last season, Martin helped his Lady Lion team rewrite the record books as the team earned the school's first-ever NCAA Division-III National Championshp appearance with a fourth-place finish at the South-Atlantic Regional in Salem, VA.

Under his leadership the softball program has earned one NCAA National Championship appearance, three GSAC regular-season championships (2002, 2005, 2006), one GSAC tournament championship (2005), and three National Christian College Athletic Association National Championship appearances (2004, 2005, 2006).

Martin was voted the Great South Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in both 2001 and 2005.

A native of Toccoa, GA, Martin attended Nyack (NY) College where he was an All-Conference and All-American catcher in baseball. He earned his bachelor's degree from Nyack before moving on to earn his master's degree at the United States Sports Academy.

Jason Miner, Assistant Coach

Jason Miner begins his second season as assistant softball coach at Piedmont College. Miner comes to Piedmont after serving as the assistant sports information director at Presbyterian College for the past year and a half.

The Pine Bluff, AR native graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 2004 with a Bachelor’s of Art in History.

While at UAM, Miner was a member of the Boll Weevil baseball team and the golf team. During his senior season, he worked with the Cotton Blossoms softball team and helped them to a Gulf South Conference West Division championship.
