Jake Baldwin Named GSAC Player Of The Week
Piedmont
College men's basketball player Jake Baldwin has been honored by the
Great South Athletic Conference as its men's basketball Player of the
Week as announced by the league office this morning. Baldwin was named
the Most Valuable Player after leading the Lions to the Roger Taylor
Invitational championship at NC Wesleyan College.
Last week, he averaged 30.3 points and 9.0 rebounds over three games.
He scored a career-high and tournament record 42 points in the Lions'
tournament semifinal victory over Wesley (DE) College including 17-of-20
from the field. The Lions' lone loss was a 72-68 road loss at Southern
Poly - ranked #12 in the NAIA Division-I polls. His two double-doubles
on the week upped his season total to four.
The GSAC honor is the first of the season for the PC men's basketball
team.
