Katie Porter Among NCAA Division-III National Statistical Leaders
In
the most recent NCAA Division-III women's soccer national statistics,
freshman Katie Porter is currently ranked in the top-five in two categories.
As a team the Lady Lions are ranked 19th in scoring offense with a season
average of 3.67 goals per match.
Porter, the 2006
Great South Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, is currently second
in goals per match with a season average of 1.72. She is also ranked
fourth nationally in points per match with a season average of 3.56.
During the season
Porter found her way into both the Piedmont and NCAA record books with
a recording setting match against Wesleyan College. Porter set the school
records for both goals and points in a single match. Her nine goals
and 18 points also placed her second all-time in the NCAA Divsion-III
record books.
