Griffin & Stephens Highlight GSAC Year-End Honors For Men's Soccer

College junior men's soccer player Drew Griffin was named the 2006 Great
South Athletic Conference Player of the Year at the awards ceremony
held in Maryville, TN. Griffin and seniors George Sandi and Patrick
Ratigan were also named to the Great South All-Conference team.
Head coach Jimmy
Stephens was named the Great South Athletic Conference Co-Coach of the
Year and Sandi and Patrick Kaminski were named to the Great South All-Academic
team.
On the season, Griffin
tallied 30 goals which was almost 50% of the teams total goals scored.
Sandi recorded nine assists and three goals while Ratigan carried a
season average of 2.04 goals allowed per game. In the last NCAA Division-III
national rankings, Griffin was the nation's third leading scorer.
