Men's Soccer Team Runs Away From Faulkner 4-1

After allowing visiting non-conference opponent Faulkner University to tie the game at one goal apiece entering the half, the Piedmont College men's soccer team responded with three unanswered second half goals en route to victory. FU's lone goal came on a penalty-kick at the 26th minute but it was all Piedmont after intermission.

The first goal of the match was scored by Jorge Pradilla on an assist from Chad Davis. In the second half Drew Griffin scored the eventual game winner at the 62nd minute on an assist from Pradilla and then tacked on another goal a mere ten minutes later with the assist going to George Sandi.

The Lions final goal was scored at the 78th minute by Josh Seabrook on Pradilla's second assist of the match. In his second start of the season between the posts freshman Ben Pyle was up to the challenge allowing only the penalty kick goal while saving five shots.

The victory moves Piedmont to 6-7 overall and drops Faulkner to 1-11-1 on the season and snaps a three-match losing skid for the Lions. The men will return to the field on Saturday, October 14th as they resume Great South Athletic Conference competition by traveling to Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL with start time scheduled for 3:30 CST.
