Maryville Rolls Through Women's Soccer Team 8-0
It was all Maryville College this afternoon at Walker Field as the Lady
Scots handed Piedmont College their worst loss of the season by the
score of 8-0. Maryville scored quickly with four goals in the first
twenty minutes and tacked on four more in the second half to cruise
to the victory.
The Lady Lions were
only able to muster a pair of shots on goal and Katie Porter and Samantha
Graham had the best looks at the net. Erin Porter managed to save 10
shots but PC could not contain Maryville's attacking offense.
The loss drops Piedmont
to 5-7-2 overall and 3-4-1 in the Great South Athletic Conference. The
victory moves MC to 8-3-0 overall and a perfect 7-0-0 in conference
action.
The Lady Lions will
return to action again on Tuesday, October 10th as they travel to LaGrange
College in LaGrange, GA for another conference match beginning at 7:00.
