Men's Soccer Team Falls At Southern Wesleyan University 3-1

The Piedmont College men's soccer team fell on the road this evening to Southern Wesleyan University in Central, SC by the score of 3-1. The Lions could not overcome a pair of early goals and then a third before the half despite Drew Griffin recording his 15th goal of the season and his fifth consecutive match with at least one goal.

SWU netted their first goal at the 4th minute and the eventual game-winner just minutes later. Griffin notched his goal to bring PC within one but a third Southern Wesleyan goal before halftime sealed the victory.

The loss drops PC to 5-6 overall. The men will return to action again on Saturday, October 7th as they host Great South Athletic Conference foe Maryville College at Walker Field with kick-off slated for 4:30.
