Jacque DeMarrais Named GSAC Volleyball Player Of The Week

Piedmont College volleyball senior Jacque DeMarrais has been named the Great South Athletic Conference player of the week for the week as announced this afternoon by the conference office. DeMarrais helped lead the Lady Lions to a 4-1 mark for the week with victories over Toccoa Falls College, Meredith College, Guilford College and Lynchburg College.

In 13 games, DeMarrais tallied 55 kills, 11 digs, seven solo blocks and four service aces. She was also named to the Greensboro College Invitational All-Tournament Team. For the season DeMarrais currently leads the team in kills, kills per game, solo blocks, total blocks and blocks per game.

Last season DeMarrais was named GSAC Player of the Week once and was a member of both the All-Conference and All-Academic Teams.
