Women's Golf Team Moves Up One Spot To Finish 6th At PC Spring Invitational

The Piedmont College women's golf team fired a final round 392 and passed Tennessee Wesleyan College for sixth place at the 2007 Piedmont College Spring Invitational held at The Creek at Hard Labor State Park in Rutledge, GA. Piedmont's Lynne Laseter earned her third top-10 finish of the season with a 85-88--173 which was good for eighth place overall.

Piedmont posted a 36-hole total of 405-392--797 to finish three strokes ahead of TWC's 800. PC's Tiffany Foster posed back-to-back 99's for a 198 and 26th place finish overall.

Methodist University "B" team ran away with the tournament title with a team score of 332-329--661 finishing 71 shots ahead of runner up NCAA Division-I South Carolina State University. MU's Holly Knox earned tournament medalist honors with an 82-80--162.

The Lady Lions will return to action on March 23-25 when they travel to Jekyll Island, GA to take part in the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational.
