Men's Golf Team Finishes 8th At PC Spring Invitational

The Piedmont College men's golf team posted a 36-hole total of 640 (322-318) which was good for eighth place out of 12 teams at the 2007 Piedmont College Spring Invitational held at The Creek at Hard Labor State Park in Rutledge, GA. Andy Cartwright led the Lions with a team-best 80-75--155 which was good for 15th out of 69 golfers.

Piedmont's Zach Miller earned a top-20 finish with a 79-77--156 which placed the freshman in a tie for 16th overall.

ABAC rallied from eight shots back of LaGrange to take the team title with a second day 298. ABAC's Samuel Del Val was the tournament medalist with a four-under par 140 (71-69).

The Lions will return to action on March 23-25 when they travel to Jekyll Island, GA to take part in the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational.
