For the fifth time
this season the Piedmont College baseball team won a game in its final
at-bat and defeated visiting Franklin & Marshall College tonight
at Loudermilk Field by the score of 7-6. Stan Brosko played the hero
for the third time this season with an RBI single with the bases loaded
in the bottom of the ninth propelling the Lions to their fourth straight
victory.

was quickly answered with five runs capped-off by a two-out double by
Corey Lindsey plating a pair of Lions. After the Diplomats scored a
single run in the sixth and three runs in the seventh to close the gap
to a single run.
After Franklin and Marshall tied the game in the top
of the ninth the stage was set for the dramatics. Matt Devito led the
inning off with a hit by pitch and Andy House singled putting runners
at first and second. Luke Dombrowsky came off the bench with a sacrifice
bunt and after a Trey McCay intentional walk Brosko plated the game-winning
run on a single up the middle.

their winning streak to four games. The Lions will play host to Rhodes
