Yetta Bailey Named GSAC Women's Basketball Player Of The Week

Piedmont College women's basketball player Yetta Bailey was honored by the Great South Athletic Conference this morning as she was named the league's Player of the Week marking the first honor of the year for the Lady Lions. The junior forward led Piedmont to a 2-1 record last week.

She averaged 11.7 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Bailey had a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds plus five blocked shots in a home win against Huntingdon. She made 7 of 9 shots from the field and scored a team-high 15 points in a road loss at Maryville.

Through 22 games, Bailey is third on the team in scoring averaging 9.4 points per game.
