Piedmont's Kayla Duncan Named GSAC Women's Basketball Player Of The Week

Piedmont College women's basketball player Kayla Duncan has been honored by the Great South Athletic Conference in the league's weekly honor roll as the women's basketball Player of the Week. The conference honor is the first of the 2005-2006 season.

Duncan, a freshman forward, helped lead the Lady Lions to a 2-0 record at the 3rd Annual Piedmont College Tip-Off Classic. She scored 35 points in the two games, including 20 in an 82-79 overtime win against Greensboro. She shot 55 percent from the floor, made 11 of 12 free throws and pulled down 12 rebounds in the two games.

Piedmont returns to action tomorrow afternoon when the Lady Lions travel to Tigerville, SC to take on NCAA Division-II North Greenville College with tip-off set for 5:30 PM.
