Piedmont's Kayla Duncan Named GSAC Women's Basketball Player Of The
Week
Piedmont
College women's basketball player Kayla Duncan has been honored by the
Great South Athletic Conference in the league's weekly honor roll as
the women's basketball Player of the Week. The conference honor is the
first of the 2005-2006 season.
Duncan, a freshman forward, helped lead the Lady Lions to a 2-0 record
at the 3rd Annual Piedmont College Tip-Off Classic. She scored 35 points
in the two games, including 20 in an 82-79 overtime win against Greensboro.
She shot 55 percent from the floor, made 11 of 12 free throws and pulled
down 12 rebounds in the two games.
Piedmont returns to action tomorrow afternoon when the Lady Lions travel
to Tigerville, SC to take on NCAA Division-II North Greenville College
with tip-off set for 5:30 PM.
