PC Cross Country Teams Finish Fourth & Sixth At GSAC ChampionshipThe Piedmont College men and women's cross country teams competed in the Great South Athletic Conference Championship today at Maryville College with the women finishing sixth and the men finishing in fourth place.
On the women's side, Jennifer Gathercoal was the leading finisher for PC as she finished in 17th place overall. For her efforts she was named to the Great South Athletic Conference All-Freshman team, and award given to the top five freshman finishers.
Earning GSAC All-Academic honors for the Lady Lions were Catherine Gearhart, Jillian Pratt, and Jennifer Mulligan.On the men's side, Jim Fields was the top finisher for Piedmont in third place overall. For his efforts Fields was named to the Great South Athletic Conference All-Conference team, and award given to the top seven finishers. Fields was also named to the All-Academic team joining teammates Jeremy Bishop, Wally Smith, and Kallan Williams.
