PC Women's Soccer Falls To Maryville College 1-0

The Piedmont College women's soccer team fell to Great South Athletic Conference host Maryville College in Maryville, TN today by the score of 1-0. The loss mark only the second time all season the Lady Lions have been held scoreless and both were at the hands of MC.

Michelle Holland led the Lady Lions by recording 19 saves between the posts. The only goal scored was posted at the 87:00 minute mark.

PC was outshot 20-1 with Missy Hoffman earning the only shot on goal.The Lady Lions were also held to zero corner kicks compared to their opponent's ten.

The loss drops PC to 8-4 overall and 6-3 in the Great South Athletic Conference. The Lady Lions will be in action again on Wednesday, October 19th as they host Wesleyan College in a game that was postponed by rain. The match will start at Walker Field at 7:00.
