PC Women's Soccer Defeats Agnes Scott College 2-0

The PC women's soccer team defeated visiting Great South Athletic Conference opponent Agnes Scott College on Walker Field tonight by the score of 2-0. The Lady Lions converted two goals on six shots en route to victory.

Ashley Parker (pictured) earned the game-winning goal at the 68:00 minute mark on an assist from Bergdis Gudnadottir. At the 87:00 minute mark the two connected again as Gudnadottir earned the insurance goal on an assist from Parker.

Michelle Holland posted her 3rd shutout of the season by saving nine shots on goal. Katie Wood and Missy Hoffman added a shot on goal apiece.

The victory improves the Lady Lions to 7-3 overall and 6-2 in the Great South Athletic Conference. PC returns to competition on Tuesday, October 11th as they travel to GSAC opponent LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA with game time set for 5:30.
