Piedmont Harriers Post Personal Bests At Georgia Collegiates

The Piedmont College men's and women's cross country teams continued to show steady improvement as both teams had runners post personal bests this morning at the Georgia Collegiate Championships hosted by Mercer University at the Georgia Children's Home in Macon, GA.

On the men's side, the Lions did not post a team score, but were led by Jim Fields as the senior recorded a personal-best 8K time of 31:04 which was good for 112th out the 172 person race.

On the women's side, the Lady Lions were also unable to record a team score, but freshman Jennifer Gathercoal posted a 5K time of 24:57 which was also a personal-best. She finished 142nd in the 190 runner race.

Both teams return to action on Saturday, October 8th when they travel to Toccoa, GA to take part in the Paul Alford Invitational hosted by Toccoa Falls College.
