PC Women's Soccer Defeats Methodist College 5-3

The Piedmont College women's soccer team defeated host Methodist College 5-3 this afternoon in Fayetteville, NC. In a match that featured both teams earning 11 shots on goal and corner kicks being even at four apiece, the Lady Lions were able to earn the deciding two-goal advantage.

Bergdis Gudnadottir and Hayle Boyce led PC with a pair of goals each.

Ashley Parker added three assists and the insurance goal at the 65:00 mark on an assist from Boyce.

Michelle Holland earned eight saves between the posts and Michelle Shelton recorded her first assist of the season.

The win improves PC to 4-2 overall. The Lady Lions will return to action again on Monday, Spetember 26th as they host Great South Athletic Conference opponent LaGrange College at Walker Field with kick-off scheduled for 5:30.
