Piedmont
Suffers First Setback Of The Season At North Greenville College
The
Piedmont College volleyball team fell at NCAA Division-II North Greenville
College in four sets this evening by the scores of 21-30, 30-24, 21-30,
and 26-30 as the Lady Lions suffered their first loss of the 2005 season.
Ashley Landers (pictured) led Piedmont
with a team-high 19 kills and is averaging just over 16 kills per game
through the first four matches. B.J. Ostrzycki added 34 assists and
nine digs.
Sarah Lane recorded 13 kills, her second
double figure total in as many games. Mandi Harmon tallied 13 digs from
the libero position.
PC now stands at 3-1 overall and will
resume competition on Friday, September 9th as they begin a four-match
Great South Athletic Conference weekend against host school Huntingdon
College in Montgomery, AL.
