Jason Henry
Named Assistant Athletic Trainer
The
Piedmont College Department of Athletics has announded that Jason Henry
will come on board as the Assistant Athletic Trainer. Henry, who comes
to PC after working as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Presbyterian
College in Clinton, SC, will assist Head Athletic Trainer Jocelyn Glenn
with coverage for the college's 13 intercollegiate sports.
His duties will include working with all student-athletes
on day-to-day injury and rehabilitation needs and assisting in covering
all 13 varsity sports.
Prior to his one-year stint at Presbyterian, Henry worked
at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK where he spent
four years. During his tenure at SOSU, Henry served as head graduate
assistant athletic trainer in charge of football and earned his master’s
degree in Secondary Education in May of 2003. In February of this year
he earned his NATA certification and became a Certified Athletic Trainer
(ATC).
He spent two years at Carl Albert State
College in Poteau, OK where he lettered in basketball for two seasons
and earned his associate’s degree in Health in 1998. After playing
one season at Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee, OK, Henry gave up his basketball
career due to injury. He later transferred to Southeastern Oklahoma
State where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Recreation in May
of 2001.
