Lady Lions Finish Sixth At NCCAA National Tournament
The Piedmont College women's tennis wrapped
up the 2006 season this afternoon with a sixth-place finish at the National
Christian College Athletic Association National Championship in Greer,
SC. The Lady Lions finished pool play with a 5-0 loss to Cedarville
University before dropping a tight 5-4 decision to Emmanuel College
in the fifth-place match.
Additionally, two Lady Lions were honored as 2006 NCAA All-Americans.
Lindsey Hughes was voted a 1st team All-American in singles while Mind
Pfeiffer teammed up with Hughes to garner 1st team All-American status
in doubles.
The NCCAA National Championship appearance is the fifth in the last
six years. The Lady Lions finish the 2006 season with a 11-10 overall
record.
