The Piedmont College baseball team held
off elimination and advanced to the championship day of the 206 Great

inning but scored seven runs in the bottom half and never looked back.
Travis Hunt led the Piedmont offense with a 3-5 day from the plate that
included a run scored and two RBI's.
In the elimination game, PC scored single runs in the fourth and sixth
innings before adding an inusurance run in the eighth inning. HC plated
its only run in the bottom of the seventh. John Vohlken earned the victory
on the mound scattering five hits in just over six innings of work.
Hunt was a perfect 4-4 from the plate offensively.
The Lions (27-16) will now face LaGrange on Monday, May 1st and must
defeat the Panthers twice to win the conference title.
