Softball Team Ranked Fourth In NCAA Division-III Atlantic Region

The Piedmont College softball team has been selected as the fourth-ranked team in the Atlantic Regional as announced by the NCAA office this afternoon. Headed into this weekend's Great South Athletic Conference Tournament, the Lady Lions boast a 25-4 overall record and 20-2 regional record.

The NCAA Division-III regional rankings are the first of the 2006 season. The regional ranking if the first-ever for the PC softball program.
