Piedmont Finishes 21st At Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational

The Piedmont College women’s golf team finished in 21st place at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational this weekend held on Indian Mounds Golf Course at the Jekyll Island Golf Club. The Lady Lions posted a 54-hole total of 424-446-433--1,303.

The 21-team field featured 15 of the nation's top-30 ranked NCAA Division-III teams in addition to two NAIA top-10 teams and a NCAA Division-I school.

Piedmont's Lynne Laseter carded the Lady Lions' lowest score with a 54-hole total of 96-98-92--286 which was good for a tie for 82nd place out of 112 golfers.

Piedmont will return to action on April 4th when the team hosts The Orchard 2006 Spring Invitational with Methodist College (ranked #1 nationally), Oglethorpe University, and Georgia Soutwestern.
