Lynne Laseter Leads PC Women's Golf Team To Record-Setting Day

Despite dropping the NCAA Division-III dual match team decision to visiting Centre College 345-366 this afternoon at Sandy Creek Golf Course in Commerce, GA, the Piedmont College women's golf team recorded is best day in the short history of the program. The Lady Lions had three players record career-best scores en route to setting new individual and team school records.

Piedmont's Lynne Laseter won the nine-player event with a new school record 81 (+9). She broke the previous school record of 84 (+12) held by Saige Jenkins. Teammtes Jennifer Hewett (86) and Maleah Kelly (89) each carded personal career best scores as well.

As a team, the Lady Lions' team score of 366 shattered the team single-round school record of 399 set just last fall by the same team by an impressive 33 strokes.

Piedmont returns to action on March 24-26 when the Lady Lions travel to Jekyll Island, GA to take part in the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational. The 24-team event features a nationally-competitve field.
