PC Women's Golf Team Opens Spring Schedule With Dual Match Victory

The Piedmont College women's golf team opened the 2006 spring portion of its tournament schedule this afternoon with a 406-493 dual match victory over visiting Spelman College at The Orchard Golf & Country Club. Piedmont's Lynne Laseter was the event's low medalist with a 22-over par 94.

Jennifer Hewett finished second in the nine-player event with a 97 while teammates Maleah Kelly and Sandi Tatum rounded out Piedmont's scoring with 102 and 113 respectively.

Piedmont will return to action on Sunday, March 19th when the Lady Lions participate in the Men's/Women's Challenge versus Centre College.
