Jake Baldwin Named GSAC 1st Team All-ConferencePhoto Gallery
Piedmont College men's basketball player Jake Baldwin was honored by the Great South Athletic Conference this morning in an awards ceremony at Huntingdon College as the sophomore forward was named as a 1st team All-Conference selection. Additionally, six Lions were named as All-Academic honorees.
The honor caps a stellar sophomore campaign for Baldwin as he was the Lions' leading scorer averaging over 16 points per contest. On two different occasions this year, Baldwin scored over 30 points and is averaged 26 points per game in the Lions' last three games.
Piedmont also placed six players on the league's All-Academic team marking the second consecutive season that Piedmont was the league's most represented team. Baldwin, David Adcock, Jeff Belflower, Fletcher Poland, Kris Watkins, and Tyler Whitlock each garnered the honor which is given out to sophomores or higher with a cumulative 3.25 GPA or better.
