Piedmont Men's Golf Team Matches Low Round Of Year In Dual
Match Victory
The Piedmont College men's golf team matched its lowest
18-hole score of the 2004-2005 season this afternoon as the
Lions carded a 303 (+15) en route to winning a dual match
against Webster University (330) at The Orchard Golf &
Country Club in Clarkesville, GA. The team score
matches the Lions' season-best recorded last fall at the
Milligan College Invitational. The victory is also
Piedmont's third title of the season.
PC's Stephen Giddens (FR/Trion, GA) earned low
medalist honors in the 13-player field with a one-under par
71.
The Lions will be in action again on March 18th through the
20th when they travel to Jekyll Island, GA to take part in
the 24-team Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational on the
island's Oleander Course.
