from the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. James Mellichamp
In the past decade,
Piedmont College has made the leap from a small, four-year college
to a comprehensive liberal arts college with thriving undergraduate
and graduate programs. Not only has the college increased its enrollment
dramatically, it has expanded its service area with the opening of
a campus in Athens and graduate cohort courses across northeast Georgia.
Throughout this
period of growth, Piedmont has maintained its historical emphasis
on providing each student with a strong foundation in the liberal
arts. That dedication focuses on increasing all students' ability
to reason critically, express their ideas clearly, develop a keen
sense of history and develop their ethical, moral and aesthetic senses.
