Phillip Hayner piano concert rescheduled

A concert by Dr. Phillip Hayner that was canceled due to weather on Feb. 2 has been rescheduled for 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 7, in the Chapel at Piedmont College.
The recital evening will showcase works by three composers who contributed to the development of the piano sonata: Alberto Ginastera, Joseph Haydn, and Franz Liszt.
Dr. Hayner teaches piano, music theory, and music history at Piedmont. He studied piano at Bob Jones University and at the National Music Camp in Interlochen, Mich. He subsequently earned the master of music and doctor of musical arts degrees in piano performance from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Hayner is in demand as a soloist, accompanist, and piano adjudicator and is a nationally certified teacher of piano and composition.
