Creative minds are always at work in the Piedmont Art Department, whether it is a student creating their next work of art or the community member viewing it on the walls of the Mason-Sharfenstien Museum of Art. It is the mission of the Department of Art to provide an environment that nourishes creative and intellectual thought through visual experience for students at different stages of life.

Art Department faculty education and careers have opened the doors for students and community members to see and experience the work of visiting artists. Artists share their personal techniques and self-expression to inspire those around them.

The community as a whole has an opportunity with the Piedmont Art Department to find the value of art beyond aestitics and open their minds to new creations and experiences.
