“The Seasons” is the theme for the upcoming concert by the Piedmont College a capella group, Cantabile. The performance is at 5 p.m., in Brooks Hall on April 3 in Demorest.

The performance is free, and Brooks Hall is located downstairs in the Chapel.

On the program are songs that make connections to the seasons, such as "Voices of Autumn" by Jackson Hill, which is set to a 9th century Japanese poem, and “Their Hearts Were Full of Spring” by Bobby Troup, an American actor, jazz pianist and songwriter.

Cantabile is made up of 10 singers, selected after a rigorous audition process, said the group's director, Dr. Wallace Hinson, chair of the music department at Piedmont. The singers are: Chris Sudderth of Buford, Luna Dunbar of Demorest, Heather Vaughn of Cumming, Brianna Foley of Sugar Hill, Brett Bellamy of Braselton, Jara Myers, Dr. Wallace Hinson, John Wright of Gainesville, Sophia Allison of Flowery Branch, and Kyle Bellamy of Braselton.
