Athens Guitar Trio will dazzle audience in the Piedmont College Chapel

athens-guitar-trioHailing from Athens, the Athens Guitar Trio formed in 2005 and has quickly become a diverse and expressive ensemble of their generation. The trio of Dusty Woodruff, Rylan Smith, and Matthew Anderson will perform at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 3, in the Piedmont College Chapel on the Demorest campus.

The Athens Guitar Trio provides audiences with a program of multiple music styles, including classical, Americana, Spanish, Renaissance, and contemporary. The Trio uses the rare eleven-string guitar to extend their ensemble capabilities and sound volume. The use of the rare guitar, their new sound for classical guitar, and their drive for perfect artistry sets this ensemble apart from the rest.

The AGT recently recorded a program for the premiere episode of UGA Performs, a new Georgia Public Broadcasting show. Their radio presence is featured nationwide, including on nationally syndicated show called Classical Guitar Alive!

For more information about the Athens Guitar Trio visit Admission to the concert is $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Piedmont faculty, staff, and students are admitted free. Tickets are available at the door.
