Piedmont College in Demorest will host a Band Clinic March 28-29, 2014, with composer Andrew Glover.
Titled "March Performance in the 21st Century," the clinic is open to high school students in grades 9-12 with directors recommendations.
The registration fee is $35 and the deadline is Feb. 1, 2014. Participants will receive a T-shirt. Online reservations can be made at www.piedmont.edu/FA or mail a printed registration to Vicki Pinson, Piedmont College, P.O. Box 10, Demorest GA 30535.
Andrew Glover's diverse career in music has included successful tenures as educator, composer/arranger, performer, conductor, clinician, and publisher. A native of the St. Louis area. He received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Central Methodist University and did graduate work at Southeast Missouri State University.
Glover's band works number over 200 and have been performed, recorded, and broadcast by bands worldwide. As a guest conductor, clinician, soloist, and speaker he has appeared in over 35 states.
