About Percussion

Piedmont Percussion is a chamber ensemble of varying size and instrumentation which performs music written for percussion instruments as well as transcriptions from a broad base of music literature. Membership is available to qualified students from all disciplines. One concert per semester is presented as a part of standard presentations of the Department of Music. Other performances are as arranged.

Private lessons in the Department in percussion instruments are a part of the course of study for music majors and are available to music minors as well as the general student population.
