Our teacher candidates in the Secondary Education programs do a year-long apprenticeship in a school system. The apprentice needs to be placed with a teacher in the appropriate subject/content area. From August to December, the apprentice will spend 16-20 hours a week in the classroom. From January to May, the apprentice will be in the classroom full-time. Upon placement, further information will be provided by the Education Department to the supervising classroom teacher. Application forms or waiver request may be obtained by following the appropriate link below.
Please contact the Field Placement Coordinator, Ms. Kathy Bolt, at 706-433-1759 ext. 8008, or Kbolt@piedmont.edu, if you have questions or problems.
