International Studies Major

Are you interested in learning more about the world around you? Do you enjoy learning about cultures other than your own? Would you like travel to be part of your career? Consider a major in International Studies!

The International Studies major will prepare students to live and work in a globally connected world whether in the business arena, government agencies, or for non-profit organizations. Majors will develop and understanding of the language and culture of one geographic area of the world, as well as an understanding of the political climate, economics, and history of the region. Students will be able to focus their studies on Latin American, Asian, or European regions of the world.

International Studies majors will have opportunities to travel to their preferred region either through a Travel/Study trip during the summer or through a semester abroad at the University of Nottingham in Nottingham, England or Ningbo, China.

Major requirements will include courses in Business, Political Science, Anthropology, Mass Communications, Language, Literature, History, and Culture. Come join us and become a global citizen!
